2017 was a difficult year, full of hurdles and challenges. As the new year quickly rolled in, I found myself needing to re-center and find balance and tranquility. At the same time I also felt a certain urgency to be assertive and bold. The two part collection represents a melding of those elements in an expression of peaceful militance: two serene botanical prints combined with a bold but accessible army colored fabric. It's been slow in coming, but I'd like to introduce:
I often take the time to look up. I find serenity in these delicate but strong fronds. They sway drowsily in the breeze, and they bend and crack in hard winds. But most often they stand resolute in our Hawaiian sunshine for everyone to admire.
PALM is currently available as a Slouchy Cross-body, and Mini Slouchy Cross-body , in white on army colored fabric.
FLOWER PEACE SIGN
I've always been obsessed with peace signs. I wanted to make one, but give it a Hawaiian vibe. I let my pencil flow and this was the result. My hope is that is will make you relax and smile every time you see it, but also remember that peace can sometimes be a hard fought battle and something to always strive for.
FLOWER PEACE SIGN is currently available as an 18" x18" Pillow Cover, and the new Shopper Tote in white on army colored fabric.
