Jana Lam hand-printed Everything Totes are made with love and aloha at the Jana Lam Studio in the Kaka’ako neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii.

What is the Everything Tote? It’s just that, IT IS EVERYTHING.  It’s extra large, but structured to hold all your things in place.  It has two large pockets on the inside to organize your accessories- keys, phone, lip gloss. . .  And the kicker is the zipper across the top.  We know everyone loves zippers, and we finally splurged and put one in.  The Everything Tote might spoil your love for all other bags, it seriously might be all you ever need (except for a small crossbody or clutch for going out, who am I kidding?). Use it for an over-night bag, a weekender, a beach tote, a school bag, a diaper bag, you name it, it’s got you covered.

Night Blooming Cereus. A seriously wonderful and complex cactus with a bloom that only shows itself (and shows off- for it is quite a sight to see) at night. If you are fortunate enough to get glimpse of one of these deceptively un-prickly flowers in full bloom (If you are in Honolulu, just visit the circumference of the Punahou School campus in the evening, for your best chance) you may be enraptured by its aggressive beauty.  Our print is a playful take on this wonderful Queen of the Night.

Fabric:
All Jana Lam Handmade in Hawaii textiles are silk-screened by hand on cotton fabrics with water-based inks. This piece is made from a 100% cotton slub weave fabric, and is reinforced with heavyweight interfacing to make the fabric sturdy and hold its shape.

Care:
The #janalamfam recommends spot cleaning when smaller spots show up. We usually use Shout Wipes for that, but Jana has used tide pens in the past. Make sure if there is a white top print to be a little more gentle on rubbing spots out. Since the ink sits on top of the fabric a bit more than other colors, there is a chance of the ink rubbing off and getting on other parts of the fabric.

But, you can put your Jana Lam's in the wash. We usually use a hand wash cycle and lay flat to dry. After it's dried, it is always good to give it a little bit of an iron. We use 100% cotton fabric, so it may shrink in the dryer, but will definitely stand up to ironing
