About the Print: Papaya Leaf Shadow

Papaya Leaf Shadow. This print was inspired by the mom of one of Jana’s friends. While way back in 2011 people were already pushing her to make a Monstera leaf print, Pat Ho had a different idea. She sold Jana on the recommendation of using the more elegant and interesting Papaya leaf for her next print, as opposed to the played out Monstera. Jana set about creating the intriguing, wonderful shape, and used it to make pillows for her sister-in-law’s wedding. It stuck around, and has become a classic staple background print in the Jana Lam oeuvre.
