About the Print: Betta Fish Blooms

Betta Fish Blooms. The petals of this floral were inspired by and meant to bear a resemblance to the fins and tails of Betta Fish, also known as Siamese Fighting Fish. Fighting Eel, our partners in this collaboration, actually picked out the artwork from my sketchbook, and I was thrilled with how fitting it was that they did. The male Bettas are typically the ones with the flashy, flamboyant fins, but for our purposes, we are using them to embody the strength and vibrancy, not only of Fighting Eel, a female-owned and run business like our own, but all women who have been faced with the heaviness of an at times fishbowl-like existence this year. Betta Fish Blooms is all about brightness, resilience and triumph!
