Jana Lam hand-printed Aprons  are made with love and aloha at the Jana Lam Studio in the Kaka’ako neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Maybe the most utilitarian of fashion statements, the apron is a wonderful thing- whether you are a domestic goddess, tending bar, or hand printing fabric! Our cute clothes covers are chic and unique with the party (print) on the top and business (denim) on the bottom.  Plus they have two wide pockets in the front to carry whatever you may need on hand.  Sturdy but still lovely webbing straps complete the look and finish off our crisp and colorful smock delights.

Red Light Special. Yes, this name may be confusing at the outset, why is this cute print named after a super sexy TLC song? But can you see it, the red lights?? The truth is, this print came about by accident.  We combined elements from other designs in the TLC Collection and created this new "stripe." It's just circles and flowers, true, but there's just something about this design that we loved so much we just had to give it the green light.

Fabric: 
All Jana Lam Handmade in Hawai‘i textiles are silk-screened by hand on cotton fabrics with water-based inks. This piece is made from 100% cotton fabric that is reinforced with interfacing to give the fabric some shape with a soft feel.

Care:
The #janalamfam recommends spot cleaning when smaller spots show up. We usually use Shout Wipes for that, but Jana has used tide pens in the past. Make sure if there is a white top print to be a little more gentle on rubbing spots out. Since the ink sits on top of the fabric a bit more than other colors, there is a chance of the ink rubbing off and getting on other parts of the fabric. 

But, you can put your Jana Lam's in the wash. We usually use a hand wash cycle and lay flat to dry. After it's dried, it is always good to give it a little bit of an iron. We use 100% cotton fabric, so it may shrink in the dryer, but will definitely stand up to ironing.
